Charlie’s worst memory is from when she was about 5, she accidently ate a cashew nut and had a severe allergic reaction where her throat swelled up and she couldn’t breathe at all.

Charlie is both a complete tom-boy and a complete feminist. She doesn’t take crap from anyone and is comfortable in almost any environment. She is very outgoing and loves to run and climb and do things that involve any form of physical activity. She generally spends her time hanging around with guys, as she finds many of the girls difficult to deal with. She is accepted as one of the boys because of her loud, fun personality.
On the other hand she is also very passionate about learning and loves to research topics and gather information, she sees knowledge as mans greatest weapon, particularly if it is backed up by a fist. Her casual attitude to violence is expressed frequently as she gets into a lot of fight, with boys and girls alike and is quick to resort to violence above verbal abuse.

Lucy Smith – A muggle. Charlie has always had a close relationship with her mother who has always been very proud of her daughter’s magical ability as well as her strength and intelligence. Her mother encouraged her love of playing outside.

Jonathan Smith – A wizard. Charlie loves her father and she gained her love of knowledge from him as he always used to read books to her when she was younger.

Her parents told her she was born in a thunderstorm.
She has always liked this idea, it sounds interesting and exciting and it gives the impression of a dangerous, traumatic birth. In reality, while she was born in a storm, it was a relatively easy birth.
Charlie was a demanding baby, always needing attention and love that her parents and brother were more than willing to bestow upon her. When she was 3 she did her first involuntary magic, making sparks appear in the air above her cot to amuse herself.
When she was five her brother Paul gave her a cashew nut to eat and she suffered from a severe allergic reaction and terrified her family. She recovered fine, but the memory has always haunted her.
When she was eleven she received her letter for Hogwarts and upon going, was placed in Ravenclaw house much to the delight of her father who had also been a Ravenclaw.
She did well in her OWLs (getting all Os and Es) and is to sit her NEWTs this year. She is considering entering the Triwizard Tournament
