Alone with Music[Kair/Open]

It was the weekend, a fact that Skye was quite ready to celebrate. The older students, third year and up, were all enjoying the weather down in Hogsmeade. Being only a second year, Skye wasn't yet allowed to go. But that was fine with her. Heck, she wasn't sure if she'd go even when she was allowed. With the lack of students in the school, the hallways and classrooms were practically empty.

Which is why she, Skye Madeline Faulkner, was gazing around in childish excitement at the music room. She'd always felt the freest when she was doing something musical, either singing or dancing. She'd been waiting forever to get a chance to explore this room by herself. The place was way better than she'd thought it would be. Instruments that could play themselves were lined up on either side of the room. Skye had no desire to play them. For all of her love of music, she'd never been able to sit still long enough to learn to play one.

What caught her eye, instead, was the stage that spread from one wall to the other. The only window in the room overlooked it, allowing sunlight to peak in. Skye walked up the steps and turned to face the empty room, imagining millions of eyes looking up at her, sparkling with excitement and cheering her name. Instead of feeling nervous at the fantasy, Skye felt a rush of excitement.

She closed her eyes, hiding the green shade from the world, and began to sing the first song that came into mind:

"Angel in disguise
Stories in his eyes
Love for every true heart that it sees.

Was it just a lucky day
That it turned to look my way
Or is it Heaven right before my very eyes?"

She didn't even realize that her body began to sway with the music that only she could hear, or so she thought. What she didn't know about the instruments in the room was that they could pick up the tune of the singing person.

"He showed me all new things
The shimmer of moonbeans
I was blind, but now he's helped me see.

I was lost but now I'm found
His happiness surrounds
And now I find that my dreams can come true."


She skipped forward with each beat before spinning counterclockwise, throwing her arms from side to side to keep tempo.

Kair was walking down the fifth floor hallway bored as heck. she miss the bus to go Hogsmeade. So Kair was walking around the school looking for something to do. when she reach the music room she hear sing sing. So she walk in room and a you Gryfffindor student sing and swaying with her eyes closed.

"What are you doing here Gryffindor?" asked Kair.

Her illusions off the wild cheers and calls for an encore were shattered by that voice. Luckily, her feet were already planted firmly on the ground. Skye looked over to the intruder, her eyes narrowing in distaste when she realized it was an older Slytherin female. With as much venom as she could muster, she said, "I'm not in anyone's way. I'm not bothering anyone. The library is far away so my singing isn't disrupting anyone's studying. The older students are all supposed to be down at Hogsmeade.

"Speaking of which..." Skye walked to the edge and leaped easily down to the floor, landing on her toes and bending her knees to absorb the impact. Then she looked at the Slytherin girl and said, "Why are you here? Or did your pet basilisk eat your homework and now you can't go down?"

"Umm I am come here to think at times." said Kair as she looked around the room.

"So you have an wonderful voice." said Kair as she sat down and looked up and down the younf Gryffindor student.

"Will you please sing me something?" asked Kair as she started to play with her long hair.
