Knockturn Alley was as quiet, dark and sinister as ever this evening. One door along the line opened and closed softly, letting out a young man with quite a distinctive appearance; a long dark coat, plaid pants, tall boots and a long tangle of brown hair with red streaks in it. Scabior walked slowly down the dirty front steps and paused in the middle of the narrow walkway, in no hurry to go anywhere in particular.
Above and behind him, the well-known name of Borgin and Burkes was painted above the door in peeling letters. Not a place where anyone decent wanted to be seen; good thing he wasn't trying to be a decent person. He worked there, as just a lowly and poorly paid clerk or assistant or what have you; but was still pleased at having gotten the opportunity. It was one small step up. Scabior had great ambitions, he did, but knew the path to the future was a long one. So what to do with himself for now? That was the question.

Narcissa sighed as she carried the dark items she was going to sell. Sabrina, her youngest was following her close behind holding onto Narcissa's cloak. "What If I had never walked away 'cos I still love you more than I can say." She quietly sang. Her and Lucius were slowly drifting away from each other, she remembered how she coped with their fighting in Hogwarts. When she and Lucius broke up back when they were young, she decided to date Severus Snape. But that was the past. She stepped into Borgin and Burke's with a frown. "Stay close to Mommy" she whispered to Sabrina. She walked up to the counter and set the items down.

He saw the woman coming from a distance, and half reluctantly moved back behind the counter when it appeared she was headed for the shop. Watching them approach, he only then noticed the little girl with the woman. That seemed odd; usually nobody brought their children here, Dark wizards or not. Scabior's eyes narrowed slightly further as he took in the woman's rich appearance; though he knew the Malfoys were valued customers and he had to give them what they wanted, that did not make them any less annoying. He glanced at whatever it was she set down but did not touch without invitation.
"Evening. Are you buying or selling today?" he asked evenly. It sure looked like the latter, but hopefully both.
