Amaranta let out a soft scream as she pulled on her sweater and headed out of the Ravenclaw tower. Most of those that knew her knew that this young Malfoy was upset. An upset Malfoy was never a good thing to tango with. As a matter of fact if she didn't keep herself in check at the moment there was sure to be lights flickering and glass breaking, along with portraits falling off the walls. It had happened at home when she got really angry at something and couldn't control her anger. It took Draco and her mother to get her to calm down. Still right now Amaranta was given a wide birth by the people that new her well enough. A first year came up to her and she glared them down making the poor thing run off crying.
At the moment Amaranta could care less for the feeling of others. If she met the filthy little Mudblood in the halls she was gonna kill her. How dare....How dare she take the opportunity of Amaranta's absence to rise to the top of the class. Even when Amaranta was sending a personal owl in for her homework. She was furious at the moment with just the mere thought of cheery little Granger being at the top of charms class. She hadn't noticed that her feet had taken not only through the secret passage to the boat house but she was in the boat house now. She knew she's closed the secret way in behind her but she hated the fact that she was so upset the walk didn't even put her at ease.
She let out a full on scream and collapsed down on the steps down towards the boats. She took a deep breath and counted to calm herself down. She wondered if her brother would be here soon knowing that she was angry. [/blockquote]

He had been sitting in the library working on a transfiguration essay due the next day when a group of Ravenclaws had come charging into his small study area all talking at the same time. If he had been in any less of a good mood; hi essay was turning out better than he had thought it would, then he would have hexed them all until they had left him in peace as it was he listened, grudgingly as they strung together the story of why they were here under Draco's steady gaze a few of them stuttered through their part but he eventually had the full story...
Something about his sister being knocked front he top place in her charms class by the mudblood Granger no less. Once the group had fallen silent Draco quickly started packing his things, he knew where she was even if no one else did so he wasn't worried that he would do anything stupid....like strange the Granger girl. Looking up from his pile of books Draco hissed threateningly at the group of messengers standing watching, a smirk spreading on his face and they are rushed for the exact the same time, it never stopped amusing him that the people of his sisters house felt the need to talk to him in groups only, as if he would curse them if they approached him alone...he would. Picking his bag up and slipping it over his shoulder Draco made haste toward the secret passage he knew lead to his sisters likely hiding place. -- The place was a dim as he remembered from the last time her was here, the gently sloshing of the lake water against the lower stone steps echoed around the stone room as he stepped slowly toward the figure he knew would be his sister "Amaranta?" He called, moving slowly over the damp stone he sat himself beside the girl with a sigh "What happened?"

Amaranta was still fuming even after her scream. How could Flitwick betray her like that. she just didn't get it. She's done all her work the only thing she hadn't done was go to class and that was because she was sick. Stupid Granger must have done something in class that got her to the top. Amaranta couldn't stand the bitch at the top of charms. She wouldn't stand for it. She was sure that a few girls from her house had gone to tell her brother not that he would need to know or anything. He would probably come and find her when he was done with his stuff. Stills he was sure he'd be coming soon. She just had to calm herself down. She wasn't exactly sure how though. She was only making things worse as she felt the sting of salty hot tears falling from her eyes. She gasped crying was not a good thing and now she was shaking too. She'd passed the point of just exaggerated annoyance and was not at beyond pissed. She'd skipped a while couple of degrees of pissed offness. This was not good but she really didn't care at the moment.
Amaranta lifted her head as she heard her brother say her name. She looked up at him tears still streaming down her face which Draco would know was a bad thing. When Amaranta cried it just simply wasn't good. Whether she was crying because she was sad or because she was so angry it just happened. If Amaranta cried long enough she would start crying blood which was not at all normal or good. It had happened once in Draco's presence when they were little and she had sworn to not allow it to happen again or to at least try to not let it happen again. It was one of the reasons why no one ever saw the Malfoy girl cry no matter how bad things got. Of course at the moment when it came to who was at the top of the class it was not laughing matter but more of a crying I'm going to kill something matter for her. She didn't even attempt to dry her eyes.
"Th....That filthy little worm....little spec of dust of a mubblood. Actually its not even worth of that degrading title. Took my spot at the top of the class while i was away with food posioning. How HOW could Professor Flitwick betray me like that. And who does that little imp things she is." Amaranta was coming up with some pretty lame things to call Granger at the moment but she didn't care. She has a whole slew of things that were intelligent to call the little annoying Granger but they wren't coming out at the moment. She chocked back another scream and finally could hear the lake and a smile though a deadly one came across her face. Her voice as though it was a voice of an angel when she sang was not so much so when she was angry. It was cold and deadly and probably far worse then that of the Devil if there ever was a devil. Falling from her little pedestal in class was like dying. It was failing to her and she couldn't stand for it. [/blockquote]

He knew the reason for her being here of course, it had been told to him by the Ravenclaw students but he had thought it better to at least use to inquiry to get Amaranta talking, he had no feeling to sit on the cold stone steps for longer than he had to so the sooner he got her calm the sooner he could suggest heading somewhere else...the library so he could finish his essay for example.
Settling himself as much as he could on the steps Draco slung the arm closest to his sister over her shaking shoulders in a half hug "I see and you thought the best thing to do upon hearing that news was to hide yourself in the boat house?" He scoffed tugging on her shoulder slightly to pull her closer to him. It was more for his benefit than her's though he didn't mind hugging his sister. He just didn't want her to get ill again because he wasn't smart enough to try and keep her warm, he knew if she was ill from sitting out here then he would be the one who got the letter off their parents. He could cast a heating charm of course but any magic cast in here didn't last long as the old wooden boats seemed to absorb magic if you used it around them and Draco had no feeling to be dragged to the hospital wing with a splitting headache.
"There is no way she will be in that top spot once you have had the benefit of face to face tuition" He tried to sooth, after all his sister had still ranked second in her class and she had studied alone. Leaning back slightly toward his bag Draco reached for the small box of Honeydukes best chocolates he had been planning to give to Nellie; he could get some more, cheering his sister up was more important right now. Flicking the box open he offered them toward his sister, his eyes already on the chocolate fudge; he planned to take it as soon as his hand was free. "Here, have a big of chocolate goodness and stop that crying. I have an interesting idea"

Amaranta knew full well that her brother didn't like to stay in the boat house for very long. Usually when they met up they were sitting on the roof of the boat house not inside of it. Actually as a matter of fact when you saw the two together they were usually on the roof of something. That's probably why they had a list of broken bones and such a mile long. Well actually Amaranta could vaguely remember playing pirates on the roof of their home with swords and everything. Draco had been a little bit better at sword play then she was but she had the balance to stay on the roof longer battling. Though one day they had both rolled off the roof and thanks to magic had stopped and not broken anything thankfully. It was one of those fluke using magic type deals. Still the two enjoyed the roof more then being inside anywhere. Amaranta was just upset so she came to calm down by the boats that seemed to take just about everything out of you. The calm sloshing of the lake helped too.
She dried her eyes and took the chocolate that her brother handed her. She didn't pay any regards to her brother putting his hand around her to keep her warm. She did snuggle into him a bit more as she ate the chocolate he had handed her. "You have an idea dear brother?" She rather liked it when he had ideas. Anything would cheer her up right now. Yes she was still second in the class and he was right that she would get back up to the top in no time. She just hated the thought of Granger being at the top right now. She waited for her brother to answer as a sly smile came over her face and she dried all her tears away.

"Mmm" Was all the response her offer as he tried maneuvering the chocolate box to his lips and sucking up his chocolate, he had seen his sister do it once and he had always wanted to know if it was easy or if she did it using magic; because if he couldn't do it clearly to only way she could have was though the use of magic.
With the chocolate of choice resting against his lips Draco sucking in a breath like he had seen done...nothing. Lowering the box her glared at the offending chocolate for good measure before tying again; still nothing.
With a frown on his face Draco lowered the chocolate box again so he could voice his idea while eh thought of another way to get his chocolate. "You know mudbloods are not vaccinated against dragon pots." He paused as he looked down at his sister, her head was resting against his side but he knew she was listening; her mind would be going in the same direction as his even after that one statement "And Uncle Sev showed us that sample of dragon pots he had gotten from mungos to try and find a potion to cure it..." He hoped she was thinking what he was thinking.
They could 'liberate' that sample and make sure Granger swallowed it or it got into her blood stream somehow; she wouldn't die from it but she would be out of commission for longer than his twin was with her food poisoning.

Amaranta being Amaranta was completely paying attention to her couple seconds older brother. Contrary to popular belief not much passed by Amaranta when she looked like she wasn't paying attention. People had gotten into trouble with her for thinking such things. Sure she could be distracted but she knew what was going on. She watched her brother try to suck up his chocolate like she had once. "Dear brother it only works with small pieces of chocolate not the bigger ones. The bigger ones you have to use magic." It was truth she'd had some little pieces of chocolate when she had done it and he had seen. Her attention went back to something else in her head and snapped back to reality when her brother mentioned mudbloods not being vaccinated for dragon pots. A sly smirk came over her face. One that many people never wanted to see on this girl's face.
Amaranta and Draco could get away with murder if people didn't catch them before the planning stages were over. Pay back could be a bitch and then again so was karma for doing such things but hey Amaranta wasn't really worried about that. She grew up in a household were dark magic was not only talked about but encouraged at times. Amaranta was thinking exactly what her brother was thing. They could steal the sample from Uncle Sev. However there was something even better that she could do. It would not get them in trouble with Snape. See she had no problem stealing things it was just that if they got in trouble with Snape Dad would kill them and that wasn't a pleasant thought in her mind.
She sat back up and looked at her brother. "Well dear brother I like your thinking. however I already have something contaminated with dragon pots." She let out a deadly chuckle. "Its just a matter of getting Granger to drink. It might take a bit longer to take effect but it will last longer." There had been a kid brought in with Dragon pots when she was being sent home with food posioning. Amaranta was being Amaranta and figured it would be a good idea to well find a way to get the contamination so she could use it against someone at some point. By no means had she touched what was contaminated but she had it and knew how to safely get it into something else so that she could get it to Granger. [/blockquote]
