Two weeks she had been here and it was time for her first class with Professor Lily Evans, she was coming in especially today to help Serina learn all the basics she should have been taught in her first 3 years here but missed since she had been lost in the muggle foster system; nor had she been in the country so even if she hadn't been where she was Serina doubted she would have received an invitation to this school. It was 2pm on a Thursday and rather than be in potions class with the rest of her year mates Serina was to spend the rest of the day learning first year the full first year syllabus; according to the headmaster since she had more control of her magic than any 11 year old she shouldn't have any problems with the spells once she knew the incantations and how to do the wand movements correctly; she was excited. All the spells her year mates knew and took for granted that she would know when they started talkign about them and she would finally be able to nod her head and knew what the hell it was they were going on about. With her new backpack slung over one shoulder Serina made her way though the empty corridors, a small slip of parchment in her hand held the directions to the classroom set aside for her private lessons. It took less time then she had expected to reach to unused classroom and to her surprise upon opening to door she found 3 piles of books, as she moved into the room she left the door open behind her as she moved to inspect the books, she had a good idea of what they where; after all she had been told that the books for these lessons would be provided. With that thought she looked up, just to make sure she was alone before she turned her attention to the top book on the pile...Charms. Comment: her OUTFIT

Lily rushed from her pervious class that was held on the sixth floor. It was times like these when she hated the Anti-Apparition wards that were around the school. The every moving staircases, and the vanishing doors were a bit much for her to handle. She suddenly felt a bit out of shape as she raced down the steps; glad that most of the other students were already in their lessons.
Her hair fell loosely from her ponytail. She shook the various stands from her face. She sighed with relief as her feet landed on the second floor corridor. Panting and huffing she made her way down the hall and pass the various portraits and suites of armor that lined the halls.
In her arms she carried all of the lesson books from her previous classes. Her arm numbed from their weight. “Sorry…sorry.” She muttered as she walked through the open door to see the young girl flipping through the book. “Ah, getting a head start I see.” She said with a small smile as she set her books down on one of the empty desks. She brushed the strands from her face and pulled up a chair across from the girl. “It’s nice to see you again Serina. Have you been well?” She asked, trying to get some small talk out of the way before they had to start in on all the work that laid ahead.

Flipping though the books Serina realized that most of the first year potions material she already knew; she had just never brewed them. Closing that book she moved onto a subject she knew she would need help with the most, Charms, she was currently failing that class (yes after only a few weeks so it just goes to show how bad she was)
With the first year charms book held open in her hands Serina moved slowly around the desk and let her body drop into the seat behind it, he attention on the information in her book.
As absorbed as she was in the book it was hard to ignore the approach of the Professor, her breathing seemed to echo around the empty classroom even before she was physically in there. Lowering the book to the table Serina turned to look at the doorway just as the woman she was waiting for stepped though.
She had met Lily Evans a few times over the summer, while her father had locked himself in his room for two days after reading the letter Serina's mother had left him it was Lily that had made sure Serina had enough to eat in the house and knew enough about London to safely to around.
“Professor“ She greeted before she nodded “Yes I saw the books on the table“ she nodded toward the rest of them “I hope you don't mind“ She added, closing the book she had been reading she slid it to the edge of the desk she was siting behind.

“No, no. Not at all.” Lily said giving the girl a pleasant smile. As she looked at Serina she remembered the first time she had found out about the girl. It had been summer when Lily had first met her. It had been around the same time as her and James were going through their divorce. She was surprised that Sirius was still speaking to her around that point. Lily had only assumed that Sirius would side with James and what friendship they had made over the years would be ruined. However a mature side of Sirius appeared. If one were to ask her she would say that Sirius still acted like a young school boy in many ways. Yes, he was a big Ministry official but still he could act far too juvenile. Lily was in no way surprised that Sirius had a daughter. The way Sirius got around Lily was surprised that he didn’t have more then one child.
Serina however seemed like a decent young woman despite all that she had been throught, but then again Lily didn’t know her too well. There was still so much about the girl that was a mystery to her. Lily wasn’t one to pry though. If Serina wanted to share more of her life’s story with her Lily would always be more then happy to listen.
Lily reached across and took the book from the girls hands. “Charms.” She said smiling fondly at the book. It had been one of her favorite classes while at the school. “We’ll start here then, shall we?” She flipped to the first chapter about levitation charms. A basic but useful spell nonetheless. “So Wingardium Leviosa is one of the basic levitation charms. When saying it is Wing-gar-dium Levi-o-sa, make the 'gar' nice and long.” She enunciated every syllable hoping that Serina would catch on quickly enough. She pulled a quill from her pocket and set it on the table. “Now when saying the spell.” She pulled out her wand holding it lightly in her hands. “The wand movements are swish and flick.” Lily said showing her with her own wand. “Now lets see if you can do it on this quill.”
