PERSONALITY OVERVIEW: That would be for you to decide, wouldn't it, but good luck figuring it out. Shendeth is the person who, as soon as you think you're starting to understand him, will do something entirely unexpected. Unpredictable, dark, mysterious; why bother to be himself when it's far better to keep them guessing? One thing everyone seems to agree on though, often the first word used to describe him, is strange. Maybe he's just a creepy kid, or likes it that way, but it's said that there's definitely something off about him. Exactly what depends on the attention of the person doing the saying. His haughty manner of acting, the fact that he is more than capable of murder, or that he is an aromantic asexual. Or just his appearance.
Intelligent and cunning, Shendeth was put into Slytherin for a reason, though the only problem the Sorting Hat could have found with putting him in Ravenclaw is that he doesn't care and is lazy with school. He can be sneaky and uses his intelligence and talents to his advantage regardless of the consequences to others. People who don't know him well might describe him as insensitive; he has no problem with lying straight to your face if the need arises nor with telling things exactly as they are. On first impression he might seem a little cold and distant. He is a bit of a loner, but takes value in friendships. Although he wouldn't die for anyone once he is your friend he'll stay your friend. The same goes for enemies. He doesn't forget things. A bit selfish but never arrogant, he is usually quiet and good at keeping calm.
Unless they do something to him, unlike some people he wouldn't bother to go out of his way to be mean to anyone. If one were to get to know him they might find that he is more caring than he seems. Shendeth does have a light side and likes to go out and laugh with his friends, wishing the world was a happier place. Inside fear can be his greatest weakness, but with Dark magic he is much more interested than wary. He is strong, independent and ambitious, but dark and sarcastic. He does what he wants whatever people think. If some people think he's a little insane, good for them. Although he holds on to friendships and wouldn't like it if there is a tempting reason to betray them that is worth it he would. Shen's first priority is always himself; he will do anything to survive.

HISTORY OVERVIEW: Shendeth was born a few hours after his twin Harry, just after midnight on August 1st, 1980. With the following defeat of the Dark Lord, everything was well with their family for the first few years. The thing that Lily did not share, however, was the fact that she had run into her old friend Severus Snape nine months before the twins were born. They ended up talking, and then having too much to drink, and.. but at the time all that mattered was keeping the family safe. There was no doubt as he grew that Harry was James's son.
Yet even as the family continued to grow, they were never a model of perfect happiness. At least not in Shendeth's opinion, who was different from the start. He and Harry, while on decent terms in their childhood, didn't seem like twins at all. Shen was the loner, who couldn't wait to escape to Hogwarts, away from the family and his father's suspicious aggression, which he did not understand at the time. Shendeth's letter finally came the summer he and Harry turned eleven. When they went to Diagon Alley he ran ahead and was first into Ollivander's; the wandmaker, who seemed to know everything just by looking at someone, called him Mr. Snape at first. Odd, but still the place was fascinating in itself. It is actually a secret ambition of his to become a wandmaker himself when the time comes to choose a career.
Anyway, they were soon boarding the Hogwarts Express for the first time, but Shendeth did not stay with Harry. Going into the Sorting he had an idea of what House he wanted to be in, and it wasn't the same one as the rest of the family. He wanted to be different, knew he was different. He got his wish and was proudly sorted into Slytherin. As first year went on he made a few friends in his House, Blaise Zabini and Shendeth's now best friend Theodore Nott, and also proved talented in school. He didn't go home for the holidays, so it was at the beginning of the summer when the first incident with James happened.
Summer proved to be more torturous and worse than ever, so he started spending the entire time out in the Muggle world rather than at home in Godric's Hellhole. His first few years at school went by without significant incident. At the start of fourth year his mother, in getting away from her husband went to Hogwarts, and the secret truth about Shendeth's actual parents was revealed. He doesn't care much. Screw them all.
And have you ever heard the saying 'be careful what you wish for'? That pretty much sums up the story of Shendeth's unfinished sixth and final year as a student. He envied Draco Malfoy's Dark Mark in the beginning. Not the smartest idea he's ever had. During the battle in which Dumbledore was killed at the end of the year, Shendeth was kidnapped by the Death Eaters. They of course planned to use and torture him to hurt Harry, but surprise surprise he betrayed his twin willingly. Out of fear for his life he was able to convince the Death Eaters he was on their side, and to prove it was accepted as one of them and branded with the Dark Mark. Nobody back at school knew what had happened; the Order decided he was dead and nobody looked for him, at least not successfully.
