Shendeth saw her smile; so she agreed with his choice. However it didn't last long; she seemed unable to keep from returning to their earlier topic. After all, that probably was what needed talking about most. When he thought of their mother happy wasn't a word that came to mind, though she was dealing with it fine. He wanted to reassure his sister but he wasn't really sure how to answer, or even what that answer was.
"Well, she wouldn't have left him if that made it worse." he reasoned. If his mother and James had been happier together it wouldn't really make much sense to separate permanently. "She's okay.. but I don't know.. she seems so sad sometimes." he admitted. It wasn't like they were happy for what had happened, but that was probably more natural. Shendeth thought his mother was coping; she tried to hide it and be optimistic after all, even if there were times when he could see through it. It would take time for them to adjust.
He saw Saphira look up at the sky and then ask if she was keeping him from anything. Maybe it was getting too much and she didn't want to talk anymore. Shendeth didn't want her to leave but wouldn't try to stop her if she wanted to; they couldn't keep talking forever. To him this was of course more important; anything else could wait. She wasn't keeping him from anything after all they had all day to get the shopping done. "You aren't." he said knowing that she would leave before their mother came but hoping that wouldn't be anytime soon.

Saphira listened to her brother as he explained or at least tried to tell her what their mother was feeling. He had a point about their mother being at least probably slightly happier as she wasn’t happy with James. James had fallen off being actually called father a long time ago. Still if mention in her head came regarding her siblings or her mother he at least got the word father there. To her he was nothing but a sperm donor. Even that she wasn’t so sure of. After all the only kid she knew as complete product of her was his pride and joy Harry. Shendeth didn’t look anything like James and Saphira herself was the almost carbon copy of her mother. She liked looking like her mother at times. All she had to do was look in the mirror to remind herself of what her mother looked like but at other times it pained her too much to think of herself like that. She shook her head mentally to pay more attention to what her brother had to say. She wondered how he felt about the whole thing. She was sure that he was his usual self. He didn’t and hadn’t shown emotion that much save for when it came to comforting her.
”Are you at least happy to be away from Harry now?” She wanted to know because there were twin like things that should be happening with the boys. Of course as she had remembered they never really had that twin connect thing down. They both at times sort of pretended that the other did not exist. She was sure that Harry was overly upset about the whole thing and she really didn’t care about how he felt about the break up of their parents. She’d take Harry down for ever thinking any ill thoughts of their mother. However only Shendeth knew how bad a fight between Harry and Saphira could get. Saphira hadn’t changed that much but she also didn’t much allow anyone to make fun of her and she was sure a heck not going to allow Harry to do what he’d done to her many years back again either. In that regards Saphira could be extremely cruel with people. Give her a reason to be and you would want to run to the hills. Saphira’s wrath probably equaled that of a less pissed off Lord Voldemort. She’d at least feel remorse for what she did. Least she hoped that she would anyways.
She shook her head mentally again and went completely blank. She was glad that she was not keeping her brother from anything. She didn’t want to leave him. She liked talking to him and it had been so long. “I hope that at some point Mommy is happy again. I want to go home with you I’m just scared. I’m scared of what you and Mom will think of me once I’m finally able to put into words what I can’t right now.” She took a deep breath and was moved back into her usual demeanor minus the overly happy. She was just Saphira and calm. Calm was how most people liked her. Sometimes being so happy and hiding the pain behind the smile made people thing to much. The calm demeanor on the other hand made people think in different ways. Sometimes it scared others because they were not sure what the young girl was thinking. It never seemed to bother Shendeth or her mother. It was just the normal her behavior. It was just now she was a little more paranoid. [/center][/blockquote]

Shendeth hesitated before replying to the question. He still wasn't sure what to feel. He was always happy to be away from his twin and James and the fighting at school; obviously, he wouldn't pretend not to be related to them if he wasn't. It was somewhat of a relief not to have to live with them anymore. As things were this was the only way, and the best thing for them. But this was different, this was real, and even he wasn't heartless enough not to wish they could have been a normal, happy family. "Well.. I don't miss them. But I'm sorry it had to be this way." he answered eventually.
He listened to what she said next, watching her calm herself. True Shendeth didn't know what she was going to tell when she hadn't said it yet, but he didn't think she should be scared. She wanted their mother to be happy again. Saphira's coming back seemed to be the way to make that happen.
"Saphira.. you're my sister. It doesn't matter to me. We won't think any less of you." he said looking into her eyes to show her that he meant it. In general Shendeth wasn't a very forgiving person at all, but that was to people who hurt him personally. They had to stick together at least. Whatever had happened or Saphira had done, they were still family. Nobody was perfect. He didn't think badly of Saphira for running away, and tried not to hold what their mother had done against her without knowing the full story. Everything else made up for it, so how much different could this be?

It was that Saphira completely hated her father and Harry. It was just that they had given her a reason to hold a grudge to them. She would go after them if they gave her a reason too. She'd hurt them both at least once. Actually she and Harry came close to sending each other to the hospital once and well Saphira has won that match and was of course promptly grounded for it but she didn't care at that point. She shook her head and went blank once again so she could hear what Shendeth had to say. She gave a nod to her brother when he said he didn't miss them but was sorry that it ended the way it did. Saphira in her own right was a bit sad that it had ended with the family completely breaking up as well. No matter how much she disliked Harry and James she never wanted her family to break completely apart. Still she was glad that now Harry couldn't bug her if she went to live with her mother.
She gave him a half smile when he said he wouldn't think less of her. She gave him another hug this time. One of these days she's tell him. "Thank you so much big brother." She let go of him with a brighter smile on her face. She looked down the road and saw someone with red hair like her own walking up the street. Her eyes went wide and she turned back to Shendeth. "I...I've got to go. I'll owl you big brother." She put her hood back up and dashed off down the road and back towards the leaky cauldron. She was sure Shendeth has seen their mother coming down the road too so he would know why she disappeared so suddenly.
ooc note: If you have nothing to say just put the end and i'll move it.
