It had been a long first week back at Hogwarts. It was evident that his seventh year was going to be much like his fifth. Already the teachers were getting on them all about bring their grades up and spending much more time reading the text and putting spells, charms and potions into practice. It was only the first week and he was already paranoid about N.E.W.T.s. It was an examination that he wouldn’t even be taking until the end of the year.
He knew his marks were excellent, but the fear that he would miss the littlest thing on the exams terrified him. Liam already had spent countless hours this week mulling over large leather bound tomes, reviewing all the things he had learnt the past sixth years. As well as doing his countless essays for his main courses. Liam still wasn’t sure what he wanted to do after completing his schooling. He did however make sure that all of his grades were passing incase one day he did decide what it was he wanted to do. His parents had planned that he would work somewhere in the Ministry, but his total hatred of his parents kept him from thinking about a job at the Ministry.
He shook his head and sighed. He was focused far too much on the future. Something he knew very well that he shouldn’t do. Things changed quickly and one could never know what tomorrow held. He let his feet take him down the third floor corridor and into the Trophy Room. Opening the door he spotted a girl sitting on the floor, quill and parchment in hand. At first he was a bit apprehensive, assuming it was some Slytherin wench. Upon closer expectation he realized that she too was a Ravenclaw. One he had seen many times at various house events and common room gatherings. “Oh hello,” He said, adjusting the bag that was slung over his shoulder. “Didn’t realize anyone was in here…”
