What to say? He is a cunning trickster, but really just trying to survive. Scabior has a lot of pride and ambition but nothing he can do with it. He'll do anything for money or recognition but at this point doesn't have much of either. Other people are things he could care less about; he is a criminal after all. While not exactly a genius he does know what he is doing and has a sarcastic personality to match. He is a tough, excellent fighter, but prefers to try and get other people to do dirty work for him. A natural born leader rather than a follower, albeit aloof and selfish. He has a sharp, witty tongue and talks with an accent.

Scabior was raised by his poor Muggle mother alone after her wizard husband left her when he was a few years old. She was depressed about it and drunk most of the time, so didn't give her child much attention. But he was the kind of kid that didn't want any so he was alright. Jynx went to Hogwarts when he was eleven and was instantly sorted into Slytherin. During his time as a student he never got very good grades but he didn't care. He was smart enough he just didn't care about school.

After he graduated he tried to pursue work at the Ministry to perhaps set his life on a better track but was also involved in shady dealings with a shop in Knockturn Alley, was caught and after this and a few other incidents sentenced to three years in Azkaban. Those were the worst years imaginable. People change in that place, and it might have messed with his head. His mother died during that time, what a shame.

Now he has just recently been released but whether it had the desirable effect is questionable. He's still going back to his old ways and will do whatever he's paid to, it doesn't matter to him. Scabior wants money and power, to prove himself and get redemption in his mind, but is staying low and keeping out of trouble to keep out of Azkaban. He got a job so it's all good. Someday his chance will come. He'll wait for it, wait as long as it takes because it will.
