Her Children
Lily is a mother through and through and if there is the slightest thing wrong with one of her children she will be able to sense it the moment they step in the room. Mothers instinct she calls it. She would go to any length to keep them from harm and likes to believe she has a tight reign on them.
The Friends
Lily has a few close friends whom she has known all her life, these are the friends she would trust with her life and likewise they would trust her with theirs. To those she hasn’t known long she is patient and kind towards them for her motto is ‘don’t judge people before you know them’ she gives even the worst of people a chance if they blow it she is likely to forgive them.
Other
Lily is rather intelligent things seem to come easily to her, however if she comes across something she cant do she will purist until she gets it, giving up isn’t in her vocabulary! She is probably one of the most stubborn people you’ve ever met once she makes up her mind about something its nigh impossible to get her to change her mind much to her children’s disgust.

Lily grew up in a family of muggles. She always knew she was different then them. She could control objects and make things move and change at will. She often went to the park with her sister Petunia and it was there she met Severus he often came to the park too, he was the one to tell her of the wizarding world and explained that she was a witch. Snape, Petunia and Lily often played during the summer, Snape however hated Petunia because she was a muggle, this often upset Lily as she didn’t want her sister to be discluded.
When Lily received her letter to Hogwarts she was ecstatic and so were her parents. Petunia however was disappointed. She wanted to go as well and wrote to ask for a place. However Petunia was told she couldn’t, as she didn’t possess any magical powers.
Lily loved Hogwarts she was sorted into Gryffindor and found she had a talent for Potions and Charms. During the summer she received some letters for testing the limits of the statute of secrecy she always had a mischievous side to her. Lily got on well with Severus they had a lot in common including their talent for potions. James and his gang often bullied Sev and this made her resent James. He was too arrogant for Lily and had no right to bully others.
But as she grew up she realized Snape’s obsession with the Dark Arts had increased and she warned him it would lead to no good. However he ignored her comments and the two went their separate ways after he insulted her by calling her a ‘mudblood’. As the months progressed James Potter started to seem a lot more appealing than he once had. Maybe it was the way he looked at her or the way he tried to complement her. His previous arrogance seemed to have disappeared and all that was left was a young man trying to impress her, and he did.
Not long after graduating from Hogwarts James had proposed. She accepted and thought that they would have a wonderful life together even with the war going on. But as always things never turned out as expected, and one night ran into Sev. After talking a bit and having perhaps one to many drinks… Nine months later she had twin boys. At first Lily didn’t think anything of it. James and her were content with their lives. She never did tell him about that night with Severus. Some secrets were just meant to be hidden. And when Dumbledore had informed them of the prophecy, that could very well be intended for one of their children her drunken affair with an old friend was the least of her worries. However the Dark Lord did not pursue either of their sons and instead targeted another child.
And life went on as it should for the most part. Still after the first war ended she couldn’t help but think of her slip up with Sev. And as her son (Shendeth) grew she started seeing Severus in him. However she did her best to ignore it. But as her marriage went on she started feeling guiltier with every year that passed. Eventually their marriage couldn’t take the stress. And even though James wasn’t sure why, Lily filed for a divorce. It was painful for all members involved. And she sure the children weren’t overly thrilled with it.
But now that she was single and starting anew she applied for a job at Hogwarts as a substitute teacher. Dumbledore accepted her application and Lily was thrilled. It now gave her time not only to keep an eye on her children and their studies, but to focus on herself. But still guilt plagues her. And she constantly wonders if she will ever be freed of this secret.

It was evening when Lily made her way down to the Great Hall from her private chambers for dinner. It had been an chaotic day to say the least. She got assigned to teach Care of Magical Creatures while Hagrid was away on Order business for the week. She was more than a bit surprised when she was sitting in her office and an owl delivered a furry looking book and dropped it on her desk. It was bound with a leather strap and being the curious Gryffindor she was flicked her wand and made the strap vanish.
With a look of surprise she jumped out of her seat, knocking it over as eyes popped out of the book and started after her. It fell of the desk and began chasing her about the room. This is ridiculous! I’m a grown witch and have been in countless duels yet a book is getting the better of me. She flicked her wand again as a white beam of light shot out and hit the book and it stopped dead in it’s tracks, stunned. Cautiously Lily approached it and read the words on the spine: The Monster Book of Monsters. Of course leave it to Hagrid… She thought as she threw it down her desk and rebounded it.
Her classes that day didn’t get much better. Her fourth year Hufflpuff and Ravenclaw class were studying Blast-Ended Skrewts. They were quite temperamental and rather large at about 3 feet. It was hard enough keeping the students calm and keeping the Skrewts under control. Hagrid of course wouldn’t have had any problem with such creatures. He was half giant and could handle it a lot better than a mere witch. That lesson had left her robes scorched and her hair fell loosely from it’s hair tie. She was grateful that the fifth year Gryffindor and Slytherin class were only reviewing what they went over at the end of the year before which happened to be Unicorns. The most eventful thing that happened in that class was a duel that broke out between a couple of Gryffindor’s and Slytherin’s. All of whom Lily assigned detention with their Heads of House.
But now Lily was sitting comfortably at the staff table. A hot cup of tea in her hands. Her robes were still singed and she was sure her hair still looked a mess. She didn’t care. She just need to relax. And that first couple sips of tea did it for her. She knew it was going to be a long week. Lily was wondering if she were really up to this task… But of course she wouldn’t admit defeat.
The Great Hall started to fill up rapidly as sixth o’clock came around. And the peacefulness of the hall disappeared and a headache started to form. Perhaps a trip to the Hospital Wing was in order for a headache potion from Madam Pomfrey.
