HAIR:
Her hair used to be a long and unmanageable bushy mess but it seems to have gotten easier to maintain over the years. She's relieved it's finally calmed down, having been afraid it would just get stuck like that for the rest of her life, but puberty graced her nicely, the bushiness having turned into soft waves and her bangs looking a lot less frightful.
EYES:
Almond shaped with a chesnut core, her eyes are a deep brown that seem to always hold an air of understanding
HEIGHT:
5'4''
WEIGHT:
120 lbs.
BUILD:
Her form is slender and petite (despite the fact that she avoids Quidditch like the plague and so has no athletic background), so she figures her running from class to class every day with no break in between is the reason for her great stamina.
DISTINCT MARKINGS:
When she was younger, it would've been her rather large front teeth and though her parents insisted she get them fixed with braces, an accident occurred in which a Slytherin enlarged her teeth to the point where they had to shrink it down to a more manageable size so she could fit them in her mouth and so she kept them that way.
CLOTHING STYLE:
Her clothing style is anything but extraordinary when she's in school but while in the muggle world, she tends to stray towards more high fashion clothes from vintage to thrift. Having grown up as a Muggle, she's actually rather knowledgeable about the latest trends though doesn't act as if she knows everything. She's become much more humble over the years and humility lines her bones. During the summer months, it isn't rare to see her wearing dresses with belts or high hip jeans with a tucked in blouse. She likes to look her best but in a casual way, as if she isn't trying too hard and it usually plays off as such.
OVERALL:
Hermione has certainly grown from the small, bossy insufferable know-it-all she used to be when she was younger. Puberty having graced her nicely, her usually unmanageable bushy brown hair has now turned into soft waves that cascade to the middle of her shoulder blades and her skin is a nice sun-kissed tan from her summer in Egypt. She plays off the au natural look well and hardly wears make-up, if only some mascara here and there. She feels make-up distorts beauty and shields blokes from seeing who they're really getting involved with. She'd rather be up front and let them know who they're waking up to in the morning than trick them into it and horrify them upon waking. She had a bit of a growth spurt and has finally grown into her body, though of course there's still some developing left to do. Curves line her hips, though while in school she doesn't parade it around. She keeps to herself and is a bit low-key, but isn't afraid of what people think as well as lacks caring towards how they view her appearance.

DEMENTOR:
Her worst memory was probably the day she was attacked by some boys in her muggle elementary school who were picking on her for being 'too smart' and too much of a 'goody-two-shoes.' They spat on her face before digging it into the mud and pulling her hair causing her to run home with tears streaming down her face to a concerned mother, who could only hug her and whisper that everything would be okay.
BOGGART:
Her biggest fear is failure and her boggart forms into Professor McGonagall disappointingly shaking a finger at her, telling her she failed.
AMORTENTIA:
freshly mown grass, parchment, and spearmint toothpaste
OVERALL:
She can sometimes be viewed as a know-it-all since she likes to correct people with their mistakes but she's gotten better at refraining from doing so since her third year. She tends to bottle up her emotions, which is not a good thing in the long run, especially since she hardly shares her feelings with anyone other than her closest friends. She is a true and loyal friend, always funny and caring. She can be a bit concerned if someone puts themselves down and she tries to raise their spirits, usually succeeding in doing so.
Although she has a fiery temper, she doesn't get bothered by the littlest insult or if someone happens to call her Mudblood (which happens more than you would think). It all seems to wash right off of her and she's able to keep a cool, collected head. She strays away from letting people close, however, having spent most of her childhood getting picked on. She puts up a front that she's happy but most of the time it's hard for her to feel anything. Hermione is an individual and will not back down on any of her values. When she believes in something, you'll have a hard time pulling her away from the issue. She never lets her guard down on anything and always tries her hardest to prepare herself for the unexpected, as her Dad's always taught her.
When Hermione was younger, she used to be a bossy, show-off, know-it-all, but now she is much more mature and understanding. She occassionally bosses people around from time to time, as well as nagging them to do the right thing, but she does it all with good intentions. She's nice to all who are nice to her since she believes in the quote 'treat others how you would want them to treat you' but if you make an enemy out of her, it'd be wise to butt out. She's not afraid to use any of the spells she's learned thus far to quiet a menace. Hermione has a brilliant mind, having memorized many, many spells in the process, and can reason her way through difficult situations that otherwise stump everyone else. She even spent one school year taking double classes using a Time Turner to be in two places at once, but she found this too exhausting to keep up.
She excels at most subjects and often helps Neville Longbottom through difficult Potions lessons. Most teachers consider her a star people, except for Snape, who calls her a 'show-off.' She has a developing social conscience and will work tirelessly for those she sees oppressed or an underdog. She hates it when house-elves are discriminated against and when people talk low of themselves. She strives to do her best with homework and such and never gives up on something once she's put her mind to it.

OVERALL:
Hermione Jane Granger was born on September 19, 1980 to the happy parents of Denise and Rick Granger. She had always been a rather quiet baby, hardly ever crying except for when she was hungry or something. Her parents grately appreciated the fact that she hardly woke them up at night for they had feared, before they had had her of course, that they would be woken every single night and hardly get any sleep. This would be bad of course for they were dentists. Imagine, they'd be so tired that they'd fall asleep in the middle of pulling someone's tooth out. They thanked God that hadn't been the case.
She grew up under their protectful eyes, soon to be the perfect child. Hermione went to school like normal children, getting the best grades she could, only wanting to make her parents proud. Well, of course they were proud. Their daughter never got into trouble, viewing rules as something to not be abused, and she got perfect grades. Her parents couldn't be happier and neither could Hermione. That was, until her whole life was turned around. She had received a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the letter being an approval for her registration there. She was shocked of course. She couldn't be a witch, could she? Sure, she had always known she was a little different from the rest of the kids but she had never expected magic to be the answer.
So, she was on her way to Platform 9 3/4, her parents having dropped her off there. Course, they weren't keen to let her go. They had never expected their daughter to be a witch, of all things. But, they had accepted it, surprisingly. Hermione had surely thought they would freak but her parents had always expected the unexpected. So, here she was, a Muggle-born about to enter the Wizarding World. She was freaked of course, but she had read enough from the books she had purchased from Diagon Alley with her parents. She remembered it being rather weird going there, all the witches and wizards dressed in robes while she and her parents were in Muggle clothes. But, she was thankful for going there. Now she had the books she needed, having read them all at least three times and she had a wand. It was perfect for her and she felt like it fit her like a glove.
Boarding the train, she was whisked away into a world she had not yet been able to fully appreciate since this was her first time seeing it. She met a young Neville Longbottom, practically reeling at seeing him in person having read all about him in her books. She rode in the same compartment as him, casually chatting about the different classes they'd be attending. She had been amazed upon stepping foot into Hogwarts, though gave off the air that she already knew everything, acting unimpressed at the floating candles. Inside she was teeming with excitement, ready to conquer the world by storm. Her name was called and the ragged hat shouted 'GRYFFINDOR' and she ran to the table to join her fellow housemates. Neville was among them and she made friends with him, joining him on his journeys and using her knowledge of magic and history to propel them further.
((honestly, i totally would've made this longer but i could go on and on with hermione's history, my original history for her is over thirty paragraphs and since i think that's a little too much, i'll just spare you the trouble ))

A sigh emitted from her pale pinks lips as the brunette threw her hair up into a ponytail, chesnut eyes falling upon the piece of parchment in front of her before squeezing shut, her fingers rubbing her temples slowly. She hoped this would soothe her troubled mind though she didn't have high hopes of such. It had been hard to concentrate the last couple of days which left her feeling unsettled. It wasn't normal for her to be unable to do homework, occasionally she did it for fun, so the thought that she literally couldn't freely write her essay scared her. She was being melodramatic, that much was obvious, and she shrugged to herself, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. Today just wasn't the day to finish this essay, if anything, she could just get back to it later. It wasn't due until next week so at least she had some time to spare.
Her eyes scanned the confines of the Gryffindor Common Room, a tad surprised to find no one mulling about. It seemed everyone was in their set place for the day, though Hermione found it hard to believe she was the only one with a free period right now. She supposed they were most likely getting fresh air, as is what she should be doing instead of being cooped up doing homework but the only thing she could fathom doing outside that didn't involve being forced onto a broom was read a book. She scampered up to her dorm, fingers trailing the spines of the many books she had in her bookcase. Finding her copy of The Dark Forces: A Guide To Self Protection, she grabbed it and threw it into her giant red bag. Though she'd already read it a couple of times before, she figured it wouldn't hurt to do so one more time, especially since then she'd be more prepared should the Professor spring a test on them.
Slinging her bag onto her shoulder more firmly, she made her way out of the common room and let her feet lead her past the many ghosts and students wandering about. It seemed the students who had a free period were unsure as to how to spend their time, resorting to merely walking through the corridors of Hogwarts with a dumbfounded expression on their face. A small smile played along her lips as a bemused expression crossed her features briefly, her pace leisurely as she finally reached the Entrance Hall. Using the full force her body would provide her, she pressed her hands against the door and pushed it open, the giant oak door having always been a rival against her petite stature. Shielding her eyes from the sun, she walked to her favorite tree near the lake, a shady spot with a good amount of trees that luckily no one else seemed to have taken. Resting her back against the base of the tree, she sat down and rummaged through her bag, grabbing her book and opening it to where she left off. Knowing eyes skimmed the page, her finger resting delicately atop the corner of the opposite page, ready to turn it when need be.
