Neville’s worst memory is when Voldemort came to mark him as his equal. Why? Well, who wouldn’t be afraid of a snake-face who comes to your house to try to kill you? Does Neville really need a reason?

Neville is afraid that Voldemort will come back and kill all of his family and friends. He is afraid to lose them and would not be able to bear the fact that he has no one left, assuming that Voldemort doesn’t kill him first.
AMORTENTIA:[/color]
Neville smells perfume, dungeon odor, and a rose. Perfume because he smells that a lot when he’s around girls, particularly Ginny Weasley, dungeon odor, because Ginny Weasley is a Slytherin, and Roses because that’s the color of Ginny’s hair.

Neville is a very formidable and timid boy. He grew up with his grandmother Augustus Longbottom, who expected a lot from him, just because he defeated Who-He-Must-Not-Be-Named, aka, Voldemort when he was just day over a year old. Because of his grandmother, Neville doesn’t think very fondly of himself.
Despite defeating the dark lord, and growing up knowing who he was, Neville is not the brightest wizard in the world. He is clumsy, forgettable, and has very low self-esteem issues. He always puts himself down to his friends and family, who always find a way to bring Neville’s spirits back to its proper place.
Neville is very scared easily as well. His grandmother is so stern; Neville always does what she asks him, in fear of getting disowned by the family. Another person that scares Neville is Severus Snape. Neville hates it when Snape picks on him because he is the boy-who-lived. Snape always calls him idiot, slow, or dunderhead.
Over the years, Neville has gained a bit confidence, but still fears being rejected because he cannot live up to everyone’s expectations. He hopes to overcome that someday and underneath all of that, Neville is a sweet Kind-hearted, young, gentleman.

Neville Franklin Longbottom was born to Frank and Alice Longbottom on July 30, 1980. He was slightly larger than an average baby and was called chubby by most of his family members. As he got older, he was labeled as fat and dumb by the bullies. When Neville was one year old, his family got attacked by Voldemort and his parents died at his hands while Neville only got a lightning shaped scar on his forehead above his right eye. He was sent to live with his grandmother Augustus Longbottom. As Neville got older, he learned of the truth but was very skeptical about it because of his status as a near squib, or so he thought. As Neville turned eleven, he got the brother wand of Voldemort’s, which meant that Neville was more powerful than he thought, but his family always had faith in him, even if his grandmother is stern.
Neville’s first year at Hogwarts was pretty eventful. While he struggled with most of his classes, Neville excelled in Herbology and History of Magic. He was pretty descent in other classes, but did not share the passion for them as he did Herbology and History of Magic. He became friends with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger after Halloween after the troll incident. Neville admired Harry and Ron for saving Hermione, while he just sat there by Hermione. Though, Ron kind of needed the boost since he was being rude about Hermione Granger. If Neville hadn’t been afraid to confront Ron, he was sure that he would have punched the living daylights out of him. During the first Quidditch Match, Neville fond the family pendent of his neck choking him, and if it hadn’t been for Snape, which Neville never got over, and Hermione, he was sure that he would have died. At the end of the year, after the examinations, Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Neville had to save the philosopher’s stone from Quirrell.

The summer following Neville’s first year and the second year was very eventful. A house elf by the name of Dobby came by the Longbottom Manor, trying to keep Neville from attending Hogwarts, much to Neville’s dismay. Neville had argued back, but his words had fallen on deaf ears. Neville had not been getting letters from his friends all summer and he thought that maybe nobody wanted to be friends with a forgetful memory; but that was before he realized that Dobby had been intercepting his mail. In a sudden surge of anger, Neville lunged for Dobby, but the elf disapparated and Neville fell headfirst into his grandmother’s expensive vase. It was a good thing that there was such a thing as magic, otherwise it would have never been fixed. Long story short, Neville was not allowed to go nowhere for the rest of the summer.

When Neville had met up with his friends and told them all about Dobby, they forgave him for “ignoring” them and together, they went through the barrier, or tried to. Just as Ginny and Hermione went through the barrier, it suddenly, solidified, keeping them from entering. They decided to take Ron’s car. The next day, all three of them received Howlers from their respective guardians. Later on the Chamber of Secrets was opened, he was discovered as a parseltongue, which his grandmother neglected to tell him about, and was thought of as the heir of Salazar Slytherin. In the end, Neville found out it was Ginny Weasley, a first year Slytherin, and had rescued her, thus ending his second year.

Neville’s third year at Hogwarts wasn’t very eventful. A death eater had escaped from Azkaban and was after Neville. During Hagrid’s first lesson, Care of Magical Creatures, Malfoy got hurt and Buckbeak was sentenced to death. Hermione and Neville had gone back in time, Harry and Ron were not responsive at that moment, and saved buck, so that Hagrid would have his mate. They took the axams at the end of the year, and Neville did well once again.
He is currently a fourth year and Voldemort seems to be getting stronger. Neville seems to have a crush on One Ginny Weasley.

Neville was nervous. Today was a Hogsmeade weekend and he was about to do the bravest thing that he could ever do; ask Ginny Weasley, the third year Slytherin to go to the Yule ball with him. Sure, to any guy, it would be a piece of cake, but Ginny was something else. While she wasn’t completely evil, she had the tendency to be scary. Neville knows because he has been on a receiving end of her bat-bogey hexes a few times throughout his years at Hogwarts. In fact, if Neville had his choice, he wouldn’t be going to the stupid dance anyway, but since he was a Triwizard Champion, he had to go. Neville sure wasn’t happy about that. He gulped and glanced at his four friends. Hermione beamed egging him on, Ron scowled because that was his baby sister and Harry looked indifferent. “Well, here goes nothing” Neville said aloud, before walking up to the Slytherin table, and tapped Ginny Weasley on the shoulder. He waited for the girl to look his way. She did, but had an evil look in her eye, but it softened as she realized who was there, but not much. “Hello, I was w-wondering if you’d go to the Yule Ball with me?” he asked, his heart going to his throat.
