Scarlett didn't know what was driving her toward him, maybe it was because she knew that he was just as messed up as her. He had proved to her many times that he wasn't like the other people in their house, he was something else entirely. One thing she did know however, was that she liked guys in make up and Shendeth was no exception, the eyeliner...she resisted the urge to drool. Instead she leaned closer at his words, looking around mockingly, as though to check nobody was around. "Oh...I think it helps, a lot. I would be more than happy to waste my very valuable time with you, darling." She drawled the last word, the arrogance that she exploited so much dancing in her eyes as she smirked at him.

Even if her fights didn't kill her, it would really be something if he didn't, he thought. When Scarlett leaned forward Shendeth leaned back a little by instinct. He half raised a skeptical eyebrow at her words.
"Really? Well, I'm so honored to hear that. I know your time is obviously very valuable indeed." he said in a clearly mocking and sarcastic tone.
Her lack of friends or anything to fill her time with had been something he was quick to play on for insulting her during one of their previous meetings and he hadn't forgotten it. And if there was one thing that annoyed him the most it was being talked down to, but it couldn't really work this time when he knew better. The annoyed, disbelieving smirk he gave her in itself said, 'nice try'. But he was still trying not to strangle her.

Scarlett rolled her eyes. She knew what he meant, she was very aware that she had little to no friends and while sometimes it bothered her, she mostly just got on without them. He could think whatever he wanted about her, she had learned to cope without people around her and loosing him...Well it would make a difference, but she could recover. She hoped she could anyway. "Well, think of all the pretty little Gryffindor boys I could be snogging." She shrugged, some of the were kinda cute and she knew how easily they fell for a girl (they were worse than Hufflepuffs, who at least had the sense to stay away from a Slytherin). "But..." She tapped one long finger against her cheek, as though pondering something. "What are you going to do about your friends...Hell the rest of your house. They won't like it. How far are you willing to go?" She raised an eyebrow at him, questioning the nature of the strange relationship between them.

Now it was his turn to half roll his eyes. If it was a question of friends or Scarlett he'd probably pick friends, but himself came first of course. He didn't know how far he was willing to go but couldn't imagine somebody else being the one to test that. While he wasn't going to insist they keep this a secret or anything, that was different than helping rumors spread. If her name was ever mentioned with his friends he wasn't going to be the one to say it, hell no. Shendeth imagined they would laugh, or say at least he finally got a girlfriend or whatever she was while laughing, or completely disapprove of her.
It wasn't like that would really stop them being friends though. The rest of the house, maybe, the Slytherins were too proud and judging of other people for their own good. But that was why they were just the rest of the house. He didn't really want to be completely alone or end up like Scarlett, but that didn't mean he couldn't or considered that when doing anything. Some people were okay but not necessary to have. The very fact that he was in Slytherin at all, and had wanted to be, proved he didn't care and even wanted to be different.
Shendeth looked at her and shrugged a little. "It's not like I'm gonna go tell them. I don't let other people decide things for me. I do things because I want to, not just to fit in. If they don't like it then that's their problem." However, she wasn't going to change anything.

She nodded at his words, half absentmindedly as she thought of him. He still seemed to think that everything was normal, that she was just a girl who he fought (and kissed). But he was wrong, there was something more, something in their relationship had changed but she had no idea what it was. She looked up at him, staring into his dark eyes, face expressionless as she considered something. "When can we...Umm, meet again?" She needed an estimate, an idea to keep her from going crazy again. If she knew then she could spend all the time in between winding him up as much as humanly possible, just to make things a little bit more fun.

Shendeth looked back into her eyes, taking them in and showing little emotion, but half broke into a smirk again at her question. The desire was shared by both of them, so he couldn't really not give an answer like he would have wanted to; and if he did that, then she would make a time and make sure he did see her then, and it wouldn't be when he wanted. He needed space to think about it, to get away from her, but not too long.. maybe two or three days would fit.
"Oh, I don't know.. I have better things to do. Maybe.. the night after next."
He didn't really but had to say so. Almost any time was fine, any time they were alone that is. By fourth year his friends were quite used to him apparently randomly falling off the face of the earth without saying and wouldn't think anything of it. Shendeth didn't study or do homework and skipping class was something they could most definitely do. Especially Potions; while he had once liked that class, ever since the things that had been going on with Snape he had decided he no longer wanted to go and wasn't there much more often that he was; it was a rare occasion for him to walk through those doors and sit silently in the very back of the room behind a pile of books.

Scarlett knew he would leave it a day or so, Shendeth may be many things, but he wasn't an idiot. They both needed some time to adjust to the shift in their relationship, to adapt to the idea that the violence and anger had overflowed into lust. He also wasn't stupid enough to not give her a time or rough idea of when. Because Scarlett wasn't the kind of girl who would sit around waiting for 'her man' to come and find her and kiss her. Hell no. She would happily seek him out in front of his friends and snog him right then and there. To her surprise though, she didn't want to do that...No wait, that was a lie...She didn't want to do that now, maybe a bit later, when things were more solid, more understandable. At the moment they were balancing on a fine line between violence and kisses and while that might never change, her certainty about it would. "Gooood" She purred, licking her lips in anticipation. "Maybe then we can give you a taste of my lipstick..." She winked at him and grinned dangerously, just loving the idea of his lips smudged with crimson paint.

He looked at her for just a moment longer before the claustrophobic urge to leave pushed to be recognized. There wasn't anything else he wanted to say to her right now, and that seemed to be the same on her side as well. It was about time to go anyway. Madam Pomfrey would surely be back soon, and Shendeth really shouldn't skip Transfiguration for the fourth time in a row. "Yeah, well.. see you then." he grinned back at her, then got up and walked towards the doors quickly. No point in hanging around.
