Scarlett was bored. She had never really realized how dull it was when there was no one else around, no one to fight with, no one to trade insults with. This was dull. Of course a simple solution was that she could go to the lesson she was supposed to be in, but Scarlett felt she deserved a day away from Rosie Kitcher and her irritating laugh that normally plagued her charms lessons. Flitwick would of course report her missing to Snape, who would guess where she had been and that meant another detention to add to the already long list. She sighed and pulled out a small mirror, checking her makeup for imperfections and making sure her hair was pinned up in it's normal, elegant shape. Her extravagant make up gave her an odd, slightly bizarre look, but it was one she liked.
She pursed her bright red lips and stopped wandering across the bridge, pausing to look over the edge and down into the misty space between the bridge and the ground. Her gloved hands rested on the cold metal bar as she stood there, her mind drifting and bringing her back to that same old place. Him. Shendeth. God she hated that boy so much. Yet, she had still kissed him, and liked it. Scarlett was finding it harder and harder to only feel anger toward the boy. He was something different, he wasn't like all the boys and girls she had kissed before. He was new and fresh and he hated her just as much as she hated him.
A noise nearby jolted her out of her thoughts and she turned to try and find the source of the noise.

The week had been long and strenuous and Lily was happy to have a day where she didn’t have to do to much. A good part of the morning she had spent going over some person papers that needed to be complete. While her divorce was finalized James and herself had other things to discuss. Much of it having to do with the scheduling of the kids and how holiday’s would work out now that they weren’t together. But after mulling over endless amount of papers she needed to stretch her legs a bit, so she took it upon herself to patrol the corridors of the school. Taking points away from students who were not in their appropriate class, and giving detentions to those who needed to be told more than once.
It was only when she had tired over the large stone walls that she made her way out of the castle and to the courtyard. There she found a handful of students scrutinizing large leather-bound text books. She passed them with a small smile, her lengthy robes swirling about her feet. She made her way to the bridge that lead to the grounds. There she a girl in Slytherin robes waiting there. What she was doing exactly Lily didn’t know, but as she moved closer and the girl turned around she recognized her. “Miss Rosen, I’m sure a fifth year student would be better off attending class rather then wasting the day away. I shouldn’t have to tell you that you have O.W.L.s this year. Your time would be better spend studying.”

Scarlett managed not to roll her eyes at the sight that greeted her, though it took a massive amount of willpower. Scarlett didn't like the woman, that was the raw facts of the situation. Every time she had come into contact with her there had been an argument. Scarlett wasn't entirely sure why she hated her more than other teachers, but she suspected that it was that the women wasn't even a proper teacher, yet she still acted like one. She licked her lips and gave a loud, dramatic sigh. "You're right Miss, it might be better spent learning and revising... And, you know what, you don't need to remind me, I do have a basic grasp of time and a sense of what is happening around me. But..." Scarlett trailed off for a moment, her voice full of arrogance and boredom, as though the women's very presence was uninteresting to her. "It is my education, my time I'm 'wasting', so really I don't see why it should concern you at all." She shrugged as if to emphasize her point and then promptly turned away, staring out at the world through the iron railings, the ginger woman so irrelevant that she felt the need to ignore her.

Lily set her jaw and raised her brows. There was little she hated more then dealing with rebellious students, especially if those students were from Slytherin house. She tried hard not to be biased when it came to houses, but sometimes it was hard. Especially when it came to students who found it impossible to see the error of their ways.
“It’s not just your time your wasting. You are also wasting the time of your teachers, who are trying their best to give you a proper education. And it is most certainly my concern as you are a student here. When you leave then you will no longer be my concern, but until such time you’re under my watch and the watch of ever teacher here. Regardless of what you believer we all want the best of you.” Lily held her arms straight at her side, looking unamused at the girl in front of her. She wasn’t sure what it was about this girl in particular, but she always made her blood boil.

Scarlett closed her eyes for a moment, just giving her a chance to stop herself from walking away from the situation right then. She did this, not to avoid a fight, in fact she wanted to prolong the argument that she knew would drive both her and the teacher crazy with anger. She twisted her body and looked at Lily, her dark brown eyes sparkling with mirth, an amused sneer crossing her features. She paced forward, her heels clicking loudly against the stone of the bridge. "Well, Miss..." She said the word as though it was a bitter word on her tongue. "I had thought I had made it clear that it was my education, if I choose to waste it then it is my business not yours. And don't give me that crap about wasting a teacher's time, Flitwick is happily teaching 29 other students, he won't notice I'm gone until the register." She finished, smirking triumphantly. Shendeth's mother or not, Scarlett was going to hate her just the same as always. "So...." She drawled "Just to recap, I don't care what you think."
