Scarlett sat on the table, her long red nails tapping the soft wood. The room, once covered in dust, was now clean and fresh. That's right, Scarlett had cleaned it, well, cleaned might have been an exaggeration. She had flicked her wand at it and had been pleasantly surprised when the dust had disappeared, she got the feeling it had probably ended up somewhere else in the castle though...Ah well.
She was waiting for Shendeth, she had seen him alone in a corridor the day before and had quickly told him to meet her here. He had said that they would meet tonight and she knew that he would come, how could he resist? Even if he were to just lean against the door frame and insult her, he still would have come to see her, he still would have lost. But he wouldn't stay away, because then she would hunt him down and snog him in front of all his friends.
She licked her crimson lips, her long dark eyelashes framed by thick black eyeliner and bright, swirls of colour. She looked up to the door as she heard footsteps approaching.

Try as he might, Shendeth couldn't completely get her off his mind in the time since they had last seen each other. He found himself looking around so as to avoid her in the common room, but also continuing to look when she wasn't doing the same. Their relationship wasn't one-sided. Scarlett had caught his attention in an unexplainable way that no one else had, and he couldn't disappoint her. Not when he wanted to be here, she was nearly impossible to control, and somehow, with so much nothing, he had more to lose than she did.
At least he had promised her nothing. Shendeth wouldn't sit and long after her any more than she would for him. He took plenty of time getting to the spare classroom she had said she was going to be in, enough time that might get her to wonder if he really was going to meet her. But eventually he did, he couldn't forget. And of course she was there and waiting. The thing about getting to know someone was that you got to figure out their weaknesses as well. Shendeth opened the door and there was Scarlett, as nightmarishly intoxicating as always. It closed quietly but firmly behind him on its own; nobody was going to interrupt.
"Well look who's still here. You haven't missed me, have you Scarlett?"

There may have been a flash of nervousness on her face when he first stepped in, but is quickly disappeared once the door closed behind him. There was no one else here, it was secure, they were alone. She smirked at him, pushing herself off the table so her small heels clicked on the stone floor. She took slow, lounging footsteps toward him, her thick red hair held up with a single ornate chopstick which she thought she had stolen from the kitchens. She stopped in front of him and despite the heels, she was still a lot shorter than him, only coming up to his shoulder. She placed one hand on his chest and her smirk widened as she looked up at him. "Don't worry yourself, Shendeth, it's only been two days, I have managed to cope. The question is...Have you missed me?" She stood on her tiptoes and gave him a quick kiss on the lips, before sinking back to her normal height.

They had all the time they wanted, which, unlike their previous meetings, could turn out to be a lot. Now that everything between them was so different he couldn't help wondering how it would be, what they would do and exactly how far she would take things. Not out of any reluctance or even nervousness, but solely a dangerous excitement that was ready to change things. Shendeth watched Scarlett get up and walk over to him without moving. As always he just returned her smirk. Then their lips touched for a quick second and he could feel her hand on his chest. He thought he was secretly pleased, and although he continued to smirk at her it was carefully concealed in his reply.
"Of course not. I was glad to be rid of you, actually, but things can't be perfect all the time." he gave a fake sigh and looked at her with mock mournfulness.

Knowing that they would not be interrupted sent a shiver down Scarlett's spine, her tongue flickered across her lips and she exhaled softly. He couldn't stay away from her, he couldn't even force himself to ignore her or to walk away from her. But was he really that into her? Of course the snogging session in the hospital wing had suggested so, but she had been able to tell that this was far from normal for him, Shendeth didn't spend his time kissing every other girl (or guy) in Slytherin. If anything that only made him more attractive to her, he was newer to this than her, he was her's. Her grin turned lustful and she raised an eyebrow at him, chuckling softly. "Oh! But you still came running back to me, didn't you...? And let's face it darling, I don't think it was for help with your Charm's homework." By this point she had leaned in close enough that her breath was ghosting his lips, their faces very close together.

Shendeth was very conscious of their closeness, but so much that at the same time he almost wasn't fully thinking of it. He drew back his head a little to give her a skeptical look when she talked, but then leaned in even closer than before.
"That's because you're so hard to stay away from."
It was an attraction that was impossible to ignore, he wanted to be here as much as she did, and knew he would always find himself coming back to her as long as he could. Hating it could not invalidate it. Everything he had disliked about her on first impression, all that was different and made her who she was, was the power behind it. What he felt for her was a different type of infatuation-esque attraction to her person, that was like gravitational attraction; he was pulled to her and couldn't stay away regardless of whether he wanted to or not. The Ace of Spades did not match the Queen of Hearts, but their difference kept them interested. Shendeth didn't want to stay away anymore at all.

She could almost feel the scars lacing her arms and legs, her knowledge of them conjuring up a tingling feeling where they sat, reminding her of every wound she had ever felt like carving onto herself and every moment she had wished she was stronger. She had always found it so addictive and when she had first met Shendeth she had compared it to that. But now she realized it was so much more. The cutting was her was of surviving, he made life and death irrelevant, she suspected she could die and still be bound to him in some way. Because they were drawn to each other like magnets, opposites attracted to each other in a way that was completely out of their control.
She closed her eyes for a second and whispered to him, his face so God-Damn close to hers. "And it's to strong to keep me away." Then she kissed him, not caring if anyone walked in, not caring if he told the school or anything like that, because deep in her heart, she knew he couldn't, just like she couldn't...

All of a sudden their lips were touching, or more than just that again, and he kissed her back. It was different from the last time in that he knew what it felt like and what to expect, but the feeling of falling out of control was the same because it was more solidified, pushing further alone in the dark. He couldn't help being aware of his heart beating faster as he wrapped his arms around her. Shendeth had no way of knowing if her passion and enjoyment of this was different or more, not unless something changed to make him snap out of it, which right now would never happen because nothing else seemed to exist. This was what people did to get close to each other, he had to get close to her and it didn't get much closer than this. Scarlett was much to close for comfort, but discomfort was being away from her. He didn't break the kiss, just closed his eyes and carried on however it would last.

She didn't know what would happen in the future. She didn't know how this would end. She just knew that things were happeing right now. She was close to him, very close, her body pressed against his, partially because she loved the closeness and partially because it was only him solid realness that was keeping her from fleeing. Her hands were trembling slightly for some unknown reason and so to trying and stop it she clenched her fingers around his shirt, her other hand curling into his dark hair and keeping him close her her. She knew there was nothing she could do to stop this, and nothing that she wanted to. At first Scarlett had thought he was like the cutting, but now she realised how wrong she was. The cutting was her way of surviving each day, it reminded her of her own mortality. He was her way of spicing up each day, of giving it meaning, he was her reminded that mortality was irellevant. So she kept on kissing him, knowing that stopping might just kill her.

Was this anything near to what dying felt like? The thought flashed into Shendeth's mind that she could make herself become the death of him. All of this was much more dramatic than the outer truth of his reality, of course. The problem thing about the unknown, however, was that it was unknown. Falling off the edge of everything known, trapped by the solid confine of her living body against his. Scarlett took his breath away, quite literally in this case. Smothered in her being, unable to breathe, it was easy to make the analogy. That was what dying was, when your heart stopped and you couldn't breathe. The very same was happening here. It was comparable to the Dementor's kiss in that she seemed to be pulling at his very soul, trying to take it for herself. The only distinctive difference was in the alluring beauty of its form. Shendeth didn't pull away from her, not quite yet. He would soon if she didn't, but not a second before the time was right.

Her fingers were locked around him, desperatly clinging onto the only thing she couldn't explain with her quick logic and clever replies. He was something beyond that and it scared her and thrilled her in equal measure. She broke the kiss, scared that if she continued she would never stop and would eventually die from lack of air. It was a bizarre and strange reason, but it was easy to explain, rather than her trying to pour her feelings out in the form of words. "Why You? You're so...irellevant to me, you meaned nothing...Why did that change?" Her musings were quiet, but he was so close he would easily be able to hear her. She reached up and tapped one long nails against his cheek, then his slightly red stained lips. "Beautiful..."

When she broke the kiss he went along with it without thinking and drew back, but not enough to make him unable to hear her whisper. It was to herself, not something really meant to be answered because she was the only one who could answer it. The same sort of thoughts had crossed his mind as well, why her of all people. That question's answer was half plain, though; the broader question in his case was not why was she specifically the one, but how and why at all.
Shendeth stayed still but followed the movements of her touching his face with his dark emerald eyes. It was true, if there was anyone who could be definitely a boy and still so dark, tragically beautiful at the same time it was him. Just because he didn't care to notice, or pretended not to, didn't mean there were no girls other than Scarlett who stared. It was a trait the two of them seemed to share, as he thought the exact same word when he looked at her.
"Nothing was just in your head." he whispered back, leaning in forward and even closer to her again.

In that moment she could feel every scar on her body as though it was raised at least an inch off her skin, as though they were clear and bold for the world it see. She could feel them prickling across her skin, seeping into her bloodn and poisoning her. She bit her lip for a moment and closed her eyes as he spoke, feeling him leaning on closer again. She couldn't explain why it was him or how it had happened, just that it was driving her crazy for this boy she barely knew. It wasn't teenage lust, she knew all about that, this was more.
Her lips brushed softly against his, before she leaned back a tiny bit to look into his eyes. One hand rested on his chest, the other on his shoulder. She grinned at him. "How far are you willing to go with this, doll?" She spoke softly, but her voice still echoed around the otherwise empty room.

A slight shiver ran down his spine, and over the faint scars there, as he took all of this in, their lips brushing and her moving back and what she said when she did. Shendeth returned her grin as a slight smirk, as it did not seem to fit with the feelings of this second, although he did not doubt the answer. He looked into her eyes before leaning in just slightly to whisper back.
"As far as we can go. No limits." No other answer occurred to him to give. Now that they had started this, there was no backing out, only accelerating forward. It was real and happening, and so he was ready and wanted to stop holding back for once and go the whole way. If there was a line to be drawn, they'd have to run into it to know where it was. And surely she was thinking similar things. In this case there was a parallel of allure to danger.

Her laugh came out as a soft chuckle, no louder than most people's breathing as she felt his face so close to her's, his own breaths brushing against her skin. She smirked and spoke for a final time. "Good, cause I ain't one for holding back." She then twisted her head and pressed her lips to his again, dominating the kiss. Scarlett was nothing if not dominating, she loved the thrill of danger, the excitment, but she like to control it. It made her feel powerful if she could be the one to win in this situation. However something told her than Shendeth was unlikly to give up that easily, he had fought so hard so far, she couldn't imagine him giving up now. She might as well try though, sometimes people act irationally.
